Once upon a time corporate events were mainly full of drunk, intoxicated white men and as an entertainer you could expect your work to be 'difficult' to say the least. There were no smart phones, no instant tweets and few repercussions to one's behaviour so why not be a complete jerk and spit out all your repulsive, sexist, racist and homophobic lines. Not anymore! Times have changed and society has thankfully progressed and what I've noticed is mostly the change in young men at these events. Like these lovely men who were such nice people and approached me to have their cards read ... and no suits! Onwards and upwards for inclusion and diversity for 2023.
